Lighting up a new culture in Goto
—History and prospects of the art museum project
We are rooted in the Goto Islands of Nagasaki, and have developed the cafe "te to ba (hand and place)," the guesthouse "ta bi to (traveler)," and "Go to Wedding," which turns the entire island of Goto into a wedding venue. With a deep appreciation for the life and culture of the islands, we are now working on our next challenge: a museum project.
Why build an art museum on Goto?
Goto is an island blessed with rich nature and history, but there are not many opportunities to experience art. However, art has the power to move people's hearts and create new value.
We see the museum not just as a place to exhibit artworks, but also as a place where islanders and visitors can interact and gain new perspectives.
Museum Concept
This museum is not just a tourist facility, but aims to be an "open cultural hub" that resonates with island life.
- Exhibition of works by local artists and craftsmen : Introducing art inspired by the nature and culture of Goto
- Artist-in-Residence : Accepting artists who create on the island and providing a place for interaction

We are already in the process of selecting properties and developing an operating model, and are preparing for fundraising and facilities.
