ABOUT
A place where the time and memories of Goto are passed down through art
"Recording the memories of Goto through art" is the starting point of the Tetoba Museum.
We will revive the building, which has quietly lived while being exposed to the sea breeze.
A new time begins to flow, bringing with it memories of the time it was a photo studio and calligraphy school.
Shining a light on the invisible.
Landscapes and cultures that are being forgotten in our daily lives,
With the power of art, we gently pick them up and pass them on to the future.
We aim to be a "living museum" that is rooted in this area and grows older together with the people who live here.

Art that communicates with the island
Throughout the year, we hold special exhibitions, residency programs, and dialogue opportunities.
The museum holds special exhibitions three to four times a year,
Through the artworks, we provide an opportunity to encounter Goto's nature, culture, and memories.
In addition, as an artist in residence (AIR),
We also plan to implement programs that allow artists to stay on the island and create art.
