Original tote bag
"Departure" tote bag
This original tote bag features an original artwork by artist Akira Kubo printed all over canvas fabric, which is then cut and sewn one by one by te to ba (hand and place) .
First, we created a printed fabric that faithfully reproduced the original painting, and then cut and sewed it without leaving any margins, resulting in a finished product with a presence that makes it seem as if you are wearing the painting itself.
The print that covers the entire surface is impactful, yet retains the softness that only fabric can provide, giving it the appearance of a one-of-a-kind piece.
The original painting used, "Departure," is an oil painting with striking vibrant green colors.
White birds fly among the white trees, and even the hint of wind blowing across the grassland is depicted with the unique touch of oil painting.
The light, airy movement that permeates the entire piece makes you feel as if your mind is being transported to a faraway place just by looking at it.
Even if you can't easily pick up a large painting, a tote bag allows you to carry art with you in your daily life.
Please enjoy this as a "portable painting" that gently accompanies you as an extension of your life.
