Original tote bag
"Sky of Shower" tote bag
This original tote bag features Kubo Akira's original painting "Sky of a Shower" printed all over the canvas fabric, and each bag has been carefully cut and sewn by te to ba.
By making the original artwork into a bag without leaving any blank space on the fabric,
It has been designed to have a presence that makes it feel like you are carrying the painting itself with you.
This is a piece that exudes the tension and individuality that can only come from something handcrafted, something that cannot be found in mass-produced items.
The original painting "Sky of a Shower" was created in mid-August, when Akira Kubo first visited Goto.
This work is based on the scenery of a season when evening showers are frequent.
As the sunset paints the sky, rain falls quietly.
The artist's surprise at the overlapping of contrasting light and water and how beautiful it is is captured throughout the entire painting.
If you look closely, you can also see small crabs and jellyfish on the beach.
These creatures are common sights on Goto, but for the artist they are fresh and new.
It was a motif that left a strong impression on me as a landscape unique to this place.
Although large original artworks can be difficult to handle, tote bags make them easy to enjoy in your daily life.
This is a recommended piece of "portable art" that will carry with you the air of Goto, the smell of rain, and the light of twilight.
