"Coral" T-shirt
Corals of various shapes are painted with soft watercolor touches.
This work, "coral," was created based on motifs that LeNa SATO drew while staying in Tomie Town and facing the sea of this area.
Tomie has long been known as the "town of coral."
Corals, which have grown in the quiet ocean, are decorative yet are a part of our everyday lives.
LeNa SATO carefully examined the shape of each coral and created a light-hearted painting, taking advantage of the unique bleeding and fluctuation of watercolors.

About Artist
LeNa SATO
Graduated from Tama Art University's Department of Graphic Design. After working as a graphic designer at the interior design shop "unico," she moved to Canada, where she developed a sense of lifestyle while working at local interior design shops and cafes. After returning to Japan, she began working full-time as an illustrator and artist.
Using pigments such as face paint, watercolors, and acrylic paints, he paints plants, insects, and everyday scenes with a soft touch. He is also expanding his range of expression through activities such as illustrating magazines and packaging, as well as producing zines. The paintings in this exhibition, which seem to scoop up "fragments" found in Goto's nature, landscapes, and human activities, are somehow nostalgic and quietly stir memories in the viewer.
