"Yamori" T-shirt
This work was created by artist LeNa SATO after she lost her cat, and was inspired by the sudden appearance of a gecko.
A small creature appears after a sudden separation.
It was not a comfort or a symbol, but simply a presence that was there, quietly remaining in my memory.
There are no words to describe the sadness in this painting, no facial expression that speaks strongly of emotion.
All that remains is a gentle gaze and a sense of distance, as if watching over you.
In Goto, geckos are known as "guardians of the home."
Without any special meaning,
They are close to your daily life and watch over you without you even realizing it.
It has come to be loved as such a presence.

About Artist
LeNa SATO
Graduated from Tama Art University's Department of Graphic Design. After working as a graphic designer at the interior design shop "unico," she moved to Canada, where she developed a sense of lifestyle while working at local interior design shops and cafes. After returning to Japan, she began working full-time as an illustrator and artist.
Using pigments such as face paint, watercolors, and acrylic paints, he paints plants, insects, and everyday scenes with a soft touch. He is also expanding his range of expression through activities such as illustrating magazines and packaging, as well as producing zines. The paintings in this exhibition, which seem to scoop up "fragments" found in Goto's nature, landscapes, and human activities, are somehow nostalgic and quietly stir memories in the viewer.
